His son Clarence Malone, a lawyer in Topeka, and his wife Audrey Wiss Malone, youngest of 13 children from a family emigrated from Solothurn, Switzerland, kept the place and inherited it to their children and grandchildren.

Shamrock Ranch is today farmed by tenants and managed by the Malone family. The last two generations of Malone are buried on St. Patrick's cemetary located on one of the Shamrock quarters. The Malones are related to members of the Mentlick and Ryan families still living in the area.
